II. Lee Tran & Liang Defeats Class Certification in Wage & Hour Class Action
Lee Tran & Liang defeated class certification against a wage & hour class action brought against its client, a leading manufacturing company. The plaintiff was represented by an experienced class action law firm. The class certification proceedings involve complex factual and legal issues, and necessitated three different rounds of briefings. On July 19, 2011, Judge Elizabeth White of the Los Angeles Superior Court agreed with Lee Tran & Liang’s client that the plaintiff has failed to prove crucial elements for class certification. “We are very happy with Judge White’s ruling,” stated partner K Luan Tran. “We will advocate on behalf of all our corporate clients and defend them vigorously at all stages of litigation.”
