Overview

Margaret (Maggie) Buckles is an associate in the firm’s commercial, employment and intellectual property litigation practice groups.  She has represented clients ranging from individuals to the world’s largest corporations in federal and state court proceedings, as well as before domestic and international arbitration tribunals.  Her practice focuses on securities, class actions, trade secrets, intellectual property, mass torts, and other complex commercial disputes.  Maggie has represented both Plaintiffs and Defendants from inception of litigation through trial in sectors ranging from financial services to technology to real estate to food & beverage.  Maggie speaks Spanish and has done legal work in Spanish and for Spanish-speaking clients.

Before joining the firm, Maggie worked at Morrison & Foerster LLP, McKool Smith P.C., and Paul Hastings, LLP.  She also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Ronald S.W. Lew in United States District Court for the Central District of California.  She graduated Order of the Coif from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law.  She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in International Relations from the University of Southern California.
