Michael Song is a Partner in LTL’s patent litigation group, and is based in the Los Angeles office. Michael is experienced in all phases of utility patent, design patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret litigation, including pre-filing investigations, written discovery, taking and defending fact and expert depositions, preparing expert reports, discovery and dispositive motion practice, trial preparation and trial logistics, post-trial briefing, and appeals. He served as Second Chair Trial Counsel in a two-week patent infringement jury trial in the Northern District of California, where he and his team prevailed. He was also part of the trial team in a bench trial in the District of Massachusetts, in an ANDA bench trial.
Michael has represented clients in a diverse array of technologies, including biotechnology, pharmaceutical, mechanical, medical devices, automotive, computer hardware and software, electronics, financial services, semiconductors, and various consumer products. Prior to joining LTL, Michael was a counsel at Perkins Coie LLP and an associate at Foley and Lardner LLP.
