Overview
Philip M. Howe is an experienced litigator and an associate in the firm’s consumer protection litigation practice. His practice focuses on “Lemon Law” warranty defense. Phil’s background includes complex litigation involving a broad range of fields including medical issues, catastrophic injuries, insurance fraud, disability, medical malpractice, accidental death and construction defects. Phil has represented corporations of all sizes in actions where the risk exposure was in the $1 millions.
Phil has advocated in hundreds of depositions, written discovery, motion practice and oral argument. He has represented plaintiffs and defendants in Massachusetts and California, in state and federal courts. He has settled over 150 cases in direct negotiations and mediations.
Phil’s experience includes dismissal of an action in California for failure to commence trial withing five years and recovery of $850,000 in insurance benefits obtained by fraud.

Phil has published widely including sixteen articles in 2024 in The Daily Journal in California analyzing a broad range of decisions from the U.S. Supreme Court, New York Court of Appeal and U.S. Circuit Courts. These cover issues from the Google anti-trust decision, the sexual abuse by a major movie producer, Musk’s acquisition of Twitter and presidential immunity.
