Court Confirms $2 Million Arbitration Award for LTL Client, Denies Challenge

The Los Angeles Superior Court has confirmed an arbitration award in favor of an LTL client, rejecting a defense petition to vacate the award. The court’s order confirms that our client prevailed in the underlying arbitration against a former business partner, and it enters judgment in accordance with the award’s terms. As a result, our client is entitled to recover approximately $1.93 million in attorneys’ fees and costs from the defendants, as well as other relief for the breach of fiduciary duty and contract. The court found no merit in the defendants’ arguments to vacate or modify the award, concluding that the arbitrator acted within his authority in granting substantial fees due to the egregious nature of the misconduct.
